In 2010, the founder of this law firm Mr. Lloyd Ward and the law firm were voted to be one of the Dallas Power Lawyers and Law Firms.

Lloyd E. Ward was born and raised in Arkansas where he attended the University of Arkansas and majored in Finance and Banking. He graduated from the University of Arkansas in 1983 with a B.S. in Business Administration. He then went on to the University of Arkansas Law School where he was graduated with a Juris Doctorate of Law in 1985.

 

Mr. Ward is admitted to practice law in Texas and Arkansas. He is licensed to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit; all Federal District Courts in Texas, and all Federal District Courts in Arkansas. Mr. Ward was an adjunct instructor at the SMU paralegal school from 1989 to 1991, and currently lectures and provides seminars for the Texas Bail Bond Association.

Mr. Ward began his legal career at the firm of Ungerman & Vickers, P.C. where he specialized in bankruptcy, banking, transactional, regulatory, and civil litigation. He was then hired as Senior Associate in charge of Litigation for Charles Kaplan at the firm of Simpson, Dowd, Kaplan, Lewis, and Moon. Mr. Ward made the move along with Charles Kaplan to Friedman & Kaplan, P.C. In 1994, Mr. Ward was reunited with his mentor, Aiden Vickers, and formed the law firm of Vickers & Ward.

As partner of the firm, Mr. Ward’s law firm practiced primarily business and real estate law. His law firm’s work included extensive transactional work for financial institutions and regulatory commissions, corporate formalities, mergers and acquisitions, due diligence, transactional law, real estate, title work, and bankruptcy law. Mr. Ward moved his practice north in 2001, and presently operates his firm as Lloyd Ward and Associates. He has expanded his practice with his associates to include criminal law, family law, divorce, and child custody cases.

Mr. Ward is an accomplished business litigation attorney with proven results. He has over 30+ years legal experience in an array of business matters such as sophisticated business litigation in the areas of complex commercial disputes, corporate litigation, and intellectual property litigation. He has brought to successful conclusion, either by trial or by advantageous settlement, several million dollars in the successful disposition of real estate matters.
